Shaed "Thunder" (2019)

OBJECTIVE

Hair. Beauty. Wind. Ryan wrote a beautiful concept and metaphor for breaking boundaries and unleashing strength from within. The visual to express this feeling was the gradual growth of Chelsea’s hair over the span of the music video.

APPROACH

This video had a smaller budget so we had to be very efficient with every piece of the budget. Ryan and I prioritized location, special effects, and camera motion to make this video spectacular. The location we found was large and offered multiple looks. We hired Morbx FX Lab to handle the hair and wind. As mentioned, we needed multiple stages to show the gradual growth of the hair as the song progressed. DP, Oren Soffer, brought the elegant look with minimal lighting. In and out in one shoot day.
